dear Bahai brother:

Your letter, asking for Tablet to the Holy Family received. I am enclosing the same. I learn that it has been translated in Haifa and will be printed in the forthcoming book by Lady Blowfield, along with other most [page 2, left side of image 002] sacred material.

The marginal note [I’ve] enclosed is by Faeezah Khanom who was in Acca when the Holy Tablet reached the mother of Shoghi Effendi.

She was allowed to bring away a copy and after reading the Beloved’s will, she brought it forth and had one hundred copies, printed, and [page 3, right side of image 002] circulated the same. I am fortunate in getting from her this copy for you.

She requests me to inquire concerning some writing she sent you last year, which concerned the Nakazeen [sp?]. I think you received it as it was double registered. Can you tell her what disposition was made of it? I am happy to send you [page 4, left side of image 001] list of Assemblies in Persian; names of same translated. The day I heard the full report was a memorable one. It was a most wonderful meeting of unity which closed with the sacred Voice Record, sent by brother Wilhelm. Then we gathered outdoors for the group photo enclosed. The group of boys shows only one class. We have more than thirty classes meeting weekly in different sections of the city. The teachers of [page 5, right side of image 003] the girls classes meet here once a month to talk over their work and plans and their love and enthusiasm is most evident. These classes are called Dark Akhlagh and are most important. Every child becomes versed in spiritual things and from their ranks, we find many qualified for higher teaching and they become trained teachers and spreaders of the Divine Message.

For several months the large general gatherings [page 6, right side of image 004] have been discontinued by request of Spiritual Assembly. The city is in an excited state – much talk of a republic which the Mollah says the Babis are trying to institute and “that will be the end of Islam.”

Some of their leaders have quoted the Akdar from their pulpits. The believers pay no attention but go on quietly with small gatherings for teaching. There is a warm rallying of the young people through their love for the Guardian of the Cause. [page 7, left side of image 003] My regular number of Star, comes very irregularly so I was very glad that you sent me the March no. containing the beautiful photos of the painted Isabella. Later Miss Bartholemew sent me a duplicate and that I am giving to Goodsea Ashraf. Will you send her the card I enclose to her with grateful remembrance.

The brief, beautiful, Holy Tablet, undated and unsigned was sent from Haifa [page 8, left side of image 004] after the Ascension of the Beloved: The recipient Mirza Abbas is up until now not-famous, a quiet steady believer. He has obtained quite a responsible position as an employe of the Dept of Justice and is sent to various points to settle disputed tax revenues & thus he never loses an opportunity to sow a seed.
