Kamran Mirza (Nayib al-Saltanah)

d. 1928 or 1929 Shahr-i Ray

Son of Munir al-Saltanah and Nasir al-Din Shah; his first wife was Surur al-Saltanah, daughter of Sultan Murad Mirza Hisam al-Saltanah, and their children were Malakah Jahan Khanum Sharik al-Saltanah, Ma‘sumah, Qamar al-Muluk, Fath‘ali Mirza, and Muhammad Mahdi Mirza Zill al-Saltanah. He also had several children from his other marriages.

Kamran Mirza was the third son of Nasir al-Din Shah. He bacame the Governor of Tehran at the age of six. At the age of eleven, he became Nayib al-Saltanah (regent) and two years later received the title of Amir Kabir. At the age of sixteen, he married Surur al-Saltanah, daughter of Sultan Murad Mirza Hisam al-Saltanah, and their children were Malakah Jahan Khanum Sharik al-Saltanah, Ma‘sumah, Qamar al-Muluk, Fath‘ali Mirza, and Muhammad Mahdi Mirza Zill al-Saltanah. After the death of his son, Fath‘ali Mirza, he remarried several times and had several children: Mu‘azzaz al-Muluk, Farah al-Muluk, Munavvar al-Muluk, Mihr Mah Khanum, Ihtiram al-Saltanah, Nigar al-Muluk, Gawhar al-Muluk, Munir A‘zam, Ibrahim Mirza Salar A‘zam, Mahmud Mirza, ‘Ali Quli Mirza, ‘Abbas Mirza I‘zaz al-Saltanah, Iqtidar al-Saltanah, Husayn ‘Ali Mirza Nusrat al-Saltanah, I‘tizad al-Saltanah, Muhammad Mahdi Mirza, and Sultan Malik Mirza.
