Chronicle of the daily life of Shahzadah Yamin al-Dawlah and the Crown Prince, 1868
Shahzadah Yamin al-Dawlah’s account of daily life, including his meetings with the Friday Prayer Imam, the Shah, Mahd-i ‘Ulya, Mu‘ayyir al-Mamalik, Nayib al-Saltanah, Mustawfi al-Mamalik, and Fakhr al-Muluk, the cancellation of a wrestling match at Nigaristan, going to the baths, getting photo equipment, the Crown Prince’s picture being taken by ‘Akkas Bashi (son of Aqa Isma‘il), going to Shah ‘Abd al-‘Azim shrine, receiving the Shah’s writing and a pen case via Yahya Khan, and an incident involving the gatekeepers and a European. The account of the Crown Prince’s daily life includes visiting Mu‘ayyir al-Mamalik and ‘Ismat al-Dawlah and the sacrifice of four lambs for him, his photo being taken by a European photographer, playing with the falcons, the elephant and rhinoceros meal, joking with Nasr Allah, giving a shawl to Fil Ban Bashi (elephant keeper), visiting Malik Mansur Mirza, Khvajah Ghulam ‘Ali Khvajah Bashi, going to the coffee house and smoking hookah, and visiting the Shah along with Qa’im Maqam.
