Letter from son to father

Letter from son to father

Part of a letter, probably from a son to his father, referring to the addressee’s criticism and pointing out that the father was the reason for his marriage and the difficulties that followed. Before the marriage, the writer reached out to his father through the late Aqa Mirza Riza while in the presence of ‘Illiyah ‘Aliyah Aqa Baji and through Haji Mirza Hasan Vazir, but the father dismissed his son’s appeals and even threatened to disown him. He goes on to say that he is still suffering in a far land, and that despite having two children, he would have relieved himself of this marriage if he had the financial ability. He mentions that receiving more upsetting letters from his father only adds to his suffering. He then asks for either his own death or to be rescued by God, and complains that his youth and talent have been wasted, and that he has gone crazy.
