‘Ali Asghar Bakhtiyari to ‘Amid Lashkar, 1925
Letter and envelope from ‘Ali Asghar Bakhtiyari in Tabriz addressed to ‘Amid Lashkar the Secretary of the army brigade in North-West Urumiyah; he discusses his journey from Urumiyah to Tabriz, noting that Tabriz is also decorated with lights; wishes their tutors were there; notes the beautiful women passing by at the bazaar and swears by Baron Asatur Khan’s mustaches that it’s hard to resist; states, as they discussed in Urumiyah, that he is planning to bring back a beautiful woman but is concerned about having a place, and asks ‘Amid Lashkar to let him know if he finds a place so they can go and be free of Urumiyah women as planned; shares some news from Tabriz; sends his greetings; and inquires about Husayn Aqa’s women.
