Will and settlement of Mirza Ibrahim with his wife and children, 1877

Mirza Ibrahim the merchant, the son of Haj Mir Husayn, transfers all of his belongings, including his house, garden, the shops in Sarab, and the bath, to his three sons, Karbalayi Mir Aqa, Aqa Mir Baqir, and Aqa Mir Abu al-Qasim in exchange for a pair of leather shoes worth five thousand dinars and one man [unit of weight] of wheat, provided that he benefits from the income of the above properties while he is alive and that after his death, his sons pay one hundred tumans to his two daughters (fifty tumans each), Saltanat Khanum and Sitarah Khanum, and spend one hundred tumans on [Mirza Ibrahim’s] religious duties. One-sixth of the bath and one-sixth of Huliq village are meant to provide an annual sum for charity on his behalf, but if any of his children are in dire need, they should be assisted by this capital. He has assigned his eldest son as the executor of his will, and his wife as the overseer; his wife’s mahr remains his son’s debt. Mirza Ibrahim’s eldest son will also be the guardian for the younger ones and should protect their properties under the supervision of the overseer until they come of age.
