Ashrafi

This collection includes photographs; objects of daily life; and a large number of legal and financial documents, including marriage contracts, wills, endowment deeds, diaries and notes, cookbooks, and a taped conversation with Banu-yi Ashraf. Most belonged to Sakinah Khanum (known as Banu-yi Ashraf – 1891-1971); others belonged to Munir al-Muluk Jahandari (1899-1975).

Acquisition Notes
The collection was made available to WWQI in winter 2010 by Afsaneh Ashrafi and Rokhsareh Ashrafi. They have written two short pieces about Banu-yi Ashraf and Munir al-Muluk that will be added to our site at a later date.
