Fakhr Jahan Khanum

Fakhr Jahan Khanum Fakhr al-Dawlah (Fakhri) was the daughter of Sunbul Khanum and the sixth daughter of Fath ʻAli Shah. Her siblings were Husn Jahan Khanum Valiyah, Tajli Baygum Khanum, and Fath Allah Mirza Shuʻaʻ al-Saltanah. She married her cousin Mirza Muhammad Khan, the son of Husaynquli Khan. The marriage ended in a divorce.

Fakhr Jahan Khanum Fakhr al-Dawlah (Fakhri) was the daughter of Sunbul Khanum and the sixth daughter of Fath ʻAli Shah. Her siblings were Husn Jahan Khanum Valiyah, Tajli Baygum Khanum, and Fath Allah Mirza Shuaʻ al-Saltanah. She married her cousin Mirza Muhammad Khan, son of Husaynquli Khan. They divorced shortly after the marriage. Fakhr Jahan Khanum had a special room in Fath ʻAli Shah's court and would host princes and princesses for lunch and dinner. She took on the responsibility of raising one of her brothers, Sultan Husayn Mirza, the 60th son of Fath ʻAli Shah. After the death of Fath ʻAli Shah, his son, ʻAli Shah Mirza Zill al-Sultan, wanted to sit on the throne instead of his nephew, Muhammad Shah Qajar, but he was arrested. Fakhr al-Dawlah and some of her sisters got clemency for him from Muhammad Shah. Fakhr Jahan Khanum was among the women allowed to sit in the presence of Muhammad Shah. Close
