Son of Mu’ayyad al-Dawlah Tahmasb Mirza; he had two wives, Jayran and Gulrukh; Saltanat Khanum (Shazdah Jan) was his only child with Jayran. He and Gulrukh had eight children: Manshur al-Dawlah, Zinat, Mishkat al-Sultan, Badi‘ al-Zaman, Salar, Shazdah Khanum (Shahzadah Agha), Shahzadah Malik, and Mu’ayyad al-Muluk.
