Son of Sayyidah Fatimah Baygum and Muhammad Husayn Mustawfi Hirati (Muʼtaman al-Sultan); he married twice. His marriage to Khanum Buzurg (Malik Sultan) produced Maryam Jan Baygum (Afaq Bibi Jahan) and Muhammad Hasan Masʻudi Khurasani. The marriage to his other wife (name unknown) produced four sons: Ibrahim, Ismaʻil, Nasr Allah, and Fazl Allah.
