Abu al-Qasim Badi‘ al-Saltanah
Haji Abu al-Qasim Badi‘ al-Saltanah Mu‘tamad Nizam was the son of Sulayman Khan, a descendent of Suhrab, an immigrant from Georgia. He was the brother of Dabir al-Sultan and Vakil al-Dawlah. Since 1896, Badi‘ al-Saltanah was the head of the armory at the court of Muzaffar al-Din Shah. After his brother's death, he married his wife (her name is not known) and they had four children: Ma‘sumah Khanum, Rubabah Khanum, Sitarah Khanum, and Ruqiyah Khanum. Badi‘ al-Saltanah married ‘Alaviyah Khanum, after the death of his first wife, and their children were: ‘Afifah (Badi‘ al-Muluk), ‘Iffat, Latifah, Nabirah (who was born around 1907 and died in childhood), Farkhondeh, and Nusrat Allah. A few years later, he married Taj al-Muluk (Madam Jan) and they had five children: Fakhr al-Muluk, Suhrab, Gawhar al-Muluk, Midhat al-Zaman, and Davud.
