Women's Worlds in Qajar Iran

Biriyah Afaq al-Saltanah Iʻtizadi was the daughter of Shah Banu Khanum Anvar al-Dawlah and Muhammad Hasan Mirza Muʻtazid al-Dawlah. She first married Mirza Riza Khan Afshar, a merchant, but the marriage ended in divorce. She later married Mr. Khurasani, the brother of Sharif al-ʻUlama’, who had a notary office. They had no children but adopted two girls. Mr. Khurasani is buried in his grandfather's mausoleum in Hazrat ʻAbd al-ʻAzim cemetery.
