Ismaʻil ʻImad al-Mamalik's will, 1921

The will of [Ismaʻil ʻImad al-Mamalik] son of [Ahmad ʻImad al-Mamalik] about dividing all his properties in Tehran and Tafrish as well as his deceased wife’s property, mahr, and dowry among his children: Taj al-Muluk [Bahrami], Nimtaj [Safavi], Abu al-Qasim, Ashraf al-Muluk, Sharif al-Muluk [Bahrami], ʻAbd Allah, ʻIsa, Fazl Allah, and Sharafat al-Saltanah [Sharafat Bahrami]. Ismaʻil ʻImad al-Mamalik advises his children on several issues, encouraging them to be kind to each other and support their younger and single siblings, take care of their disabled sister (Ashraf al-Muluk), spend one-third of the inheritance for transporting his corpse and burying it in Karbala’ and on religious duties like paying Khums, covering the cost of prayers on his behalf, and sending someone on Hajj on his and his wife’s behalf. After these expenses, half of what remains goes to Ashraf al-Muluk and the rest should be divided among Taj al-Muluk, Nimtaj, Sharif al-Muluk, and Abu al-Qasim for the cost of their weddings, dowries, education, etc.
