The writer complains that they have not received any letters from the addressee, whose mother gets worried when there is no news from him. The writer, having considered complaining to the governor but decided against embarrassing the addressee, asks whether financial problems are preventing him from sending letters; says they have gone to the city and, despite Karbalayi’s insistence, are not planning to return soon; reassures the addressee about the wellness of the household and Sarkar ‘Aliyah; mentions not receiving as much wheat as expected; and offers help if financial constraints stop the addressee from visiting them. They have not received sheep from Zaviyah village and need money to purchase meat for the household from the bazaar; requests a box, pussy willows, sweets, and pickles from Urumiyah; suggests addressing the envelopes to Aqa Mashhadi Husayn Aqa at Shahzadah’s house, since he will deliver them to the writer more quickly; and talks about some governmental matters.
