Letter to ‘Amid Lashkar

Letter to ‘Amid Lashkar

Addressed to ‘Amid Lashkar, probably from Muntasir Lashkar; conveys greetings for Nawruz, complains that ‘Amid Lashkar does not write him in his own handwriting, and mentions the wife of the late ‘Amid Lashkar’s claim, which was incited by Asad Allah Bayg and Mirza Ahmad: they have created documents and affidavits and have met with ‘Ayn al-Dawlah, who has in turn spoken to his highness Amir. Although Amir has rejected their claims, the writer informs ‘Amid Lashkar, they are now seeking to give power of attorney to Sarim al-Sultan. He then sends greetings to the family, especially to Fatimah Khanum, Rubabah Khanum, ‘Azimat Khanum, and their children. On verso, he reminds ‘Amid Lashkar to seal the envelope before delivering Satvat al-Saltanah’s letter.
