Letter to Mirza Mahmud Khan
Probably from Muntasir Lashkar; reassures Mirza Mahmud Khan about financial issues and instructs him to get what they need from Mashhadi Hasan; notes that the writer asked ‘Amid Lashkar to give them money; advises him to respect the mother and attend to her needs because she is very old; inquires about Ma‘sumah Sultan and Ruqiyah Sultan, because he is afraid that they are dead since his questions about them are never answered in the letters; inquires about the education of the addressee, Mirza Ahmad Khan, and Mirza Muhammad Khan; asks about the money Khalah Jan owed them; inquires about the addressee’s paternal aunts and whether they have married or not; mentions that the letters are illegible and asks that Mirza Muhammad Khan’s maternal aunt write the letters; and asks about the money he has sent via Haj Faraj Aqa and whether they have received all twenty-five tumans.
