Regarding: delivery of the six-tuman promissory note to Sarkar ‘Illiyah; receiving the brigadier’s payment to the addressee and using it to pay the debts to Karbalayi Hasan and Buyuk Khanum; inquiring about Muqtadir’s action; delivery of thirty eight mans [unit of weight] of flour to the household from the village of Zaviyah; reading the addressee’s letter about Sarkar ‘Illiyah to her and [her response] that she is careful with money and there is no need to remind her, that parents are friends of their children and do what is best for them; other political and work-related news; sending pussy willow water via Mashhadi Mir Sadiq; the writer’s salary, which has not been issued; Yusuf gives military training to children, asking the addressee to send someone the same age as him for the writer’s house since the addressee’s sister has discharged Hajar; sending greetings on behalf of all the people of the household from Mustafa to Marziyah; the distribution of one tuman among the children; news of the engagement of the daughter of Muhammad Husayn ‘Arab to the son of Haji Yusuf the retailer; Sultan Khanum’s death; and planting in the yard and taking good care of the house in the addressee’s absence.
