Letter to ‘Amid Lashkar
Probably from Muntasir Lashkar to ‘Amid Lashkar; about: receiving the addressee’s letter via Sitvat al-Saltanah, the wages of Muhammad ‘Ali and ‘Ali Akbar Rahim, Sitvat al-Saltanah’s debt to Nizam al-‘Ulama’, the soldiers’ stipends, the Mukri accounts, Shahzadah Dara’s money, Mirza Abu Turab Khan’s reading the Gulistan and his request for a watch and a khal’at [ceremonial robe] for his tutor, Asad Allah Khan Yavar’s departure, Chahar Uymaq’s accounts and taxes, and the increasing cost of living. The letter has ‘Amid Lashkar’s seal on the back.
