Gawhar Khanum's power of attorney to Mas‘ud Khan ‘Adl al-Mulk, 1918
Gawhar Khanum, Salar Zafar’s mother, gives Mirza Mas‘ud Khan ‘Adl al-Mulk the power of attorney to sell two-sixths of Varzaqan village in the district of Qarajah Dagh of Azarbayjan for five thousand and two hundred tumans; the sale includes the right, as long as the sumn [one-eighth] as determined by Gawhar Khanum, is paid. The attorney is also responsible for selling one-sixth of the property for two thousand and five hundred tumans; includes a right of revocation. After receiving the sumn, he should pay it to Haj ‘Ali Aqa Hariri as Gawhar Khanum’s debt to him. The attorney also has the right to rent the property.
