Dear Bahai Sister, Mrs. Platt:-

Very many thanks for your very kind letter of March 21st with its enclosure a draft for thirty English pounds as a contribution for the Girls’ School of Mt. Carmel. Will you kindly find eclose a receipt for the same amount with many thanks. Yes it is our earnest desire that a school for the girls may be established here on Mt. Carmel. And we hope that this will be realised before long through the help and assistance of the friends throughout the Bahai world. One of the greatest thing that the East needs is Education and that of the girls and the women. And the only way to obtain that is to have a good and unprejudiced school that would teach them the essential things and [“not” handwritten in] suppersitition.

I am glad to say, and I am sure that it will interest you and the friends to hear, that the health of the beloved Master is very good and that He is as usual very busy with His vast correspondance in addition to those people that continually come to Him to solve their difficulties and their problem.

We are glad and delighted to learn of the wonderful activities of Jenabe Fazel in the Path of the Cause of God. Surely he being sincere and depending on the Beloved for his help and guidance will no doubt be successful. We very much hope that great results will be obtained from Jenabe Fazel’s visit to America.

I am very sorry to have kept you waiting so long for the answer of your letter and the acknowledgement of the money you so kindly sent for the school. I have been very busy and am very busy just now as well. I have asked Lotfullah Hakim to write this letter on my behalf to you by my telling him what to write.
