I am eclosing the photo of Tayereh the grand-daughter of the revered Tayereh Khanom to be the Jenabi Fazel Scholar.

Mrs. Waite long ago before she began school desired to educate her, but on account of reduced finances could never assume the burden, so I have always paid her tuition, with occasional [page 2, left side of image 134] half expense from Mr. Wilhelm when I have been hard up [“hard up” underlined].

Now I ask your Mahfel (Assembly) in the name of Jenabi Fazel to see her through. She is in third class and should go on year by year to the eighth (her mother, Moochul Khanom, embroidered her dress for the occasion - that you all might know that she is cared for at home). Her father Moheb os Sultan has recently lost his position in the [page 3, right side of image 134] Police Dept for aiding the oppressed Jews. The eighteen dollars yearly will meet her school expenses which began with Persian month of Moharram - two months ago. Don’t send again until next July or August.

You spoke of not keeping on with Ishraghieh for yourself - it is very necessary that her tuition be paid as her sister can only give her a home or the burden would fall on the school. She is a dear [page 4, left side of image 133] little girl and I beg of you to keep her. I know your thought was a big [“big” underlined] one, to have more for the school building - but do what you can for us and we will be most grateful - You are the largest donor in America and Mrs. Kappes comes second - I hope many others will arise to help us. There is such a need for better accomadations [sic], and now that Doctor [“Doctor” underlined] Coy has begun her work, we are expecting many new [page 5, image 135] pupils. Dr. C arrived in Teheran one month ago today and her home is with us. She spent over three weeks getting acquainted with the friends - was a guest at twenty functions and had numberless calls. Miss Stewart and I were also at the feasts and as I had three obstetric cases during the time, I thought I was going it strong for an old woman. When she began school I asked the friends to expect her only on a Friday as she would break down and so would we [“so would we” underlined], but how loving it has all [page 6, image 136] been. I hope some time you may come see the new school - and be taken personally into these warm hearts as we are.

Your joy on receiving the golden memento from the hand of Baha ‘o’ Alah made me very glad and also the donor Effendieh Khanom.

I asked you not to send a package to us, but if it should be one dozen - one package - of dried [“dried” underlined three times] yeast cakes, it would be all right and Miss Stewart will make us some bread.
