Dear Bahai Sister, Mrs Platt:,

Your kind and welcome letter of 30th April with a cheque on Lloyd’s Bank Ltd. London for forty three pounds & seven shillings (£43.7.0) was received through our dear sister Mrs Stannard on Wed. night (May 21st) at The Public Bahai Meetings.

As on Thursday (yesterday) I was leaving London for a few days & as there was little time to see to it, therefore I managed to get to the city & left the cheque in my bank so that they may cash it for me. And I got a draft for the same amount (£43.7.0) from The Imperial Bank of Persia to the name of Dr. Clock. The bank thought it would be better to send the amount in Pound sterling & she may change to “Kern” (Persian money).

However I managed to get the draft & catch the train for Bournemouth. I have written a registered letter to our dear Bahai Sister Dr. Clock & have sent the draft enclosed that she will cash it there at sight at the Bank in Teheran. I am enclosing a copy of the letter I have written to her. Part of which might interest you.

I am very happy to have had the pleasure of [page 2, image 74] doing this for you. In the Bahai world there is no stranger. We are all [“all” underlined] sisters & brothers. If at any [“any” underlined] time I can be of any [“any” underlined] service to you or any of the friends kindly command me. I shall be only too glad to be of any service to any of the friends.

No doubt you will hear from Dr. Clock the receipt of this money. When you do kindly let me know of it too. Any letter written me & addressed to 13. Wood Lane Shepherds Bush will always [“always” underlined] find me wherever I may be.

As to your message for the Master. I will certainly deliver it when I meet Him. I am not certain when I shall be leaving for Haifa & Acre. I want to go as soon as possible for it is the Master’s wish, but there are certain things I have to see to before leaving. [“No doubt” scribbled out] I have to be able to start in time, God willing.

Thank you so much for the copy of Mrs Waite’s latest song. It is a delightful one. When I arrived at Bournemouth yesterday there was a Bahai meeting at the Sanatorium at which some of the friends were present and I am happy to have been in time & amongst them. We had a most delightful spiritual meeting.

Please remember me very kindly to our dear Bahai sister Mrs Waite & all the friends there. All the friends here send their Bahai love & greetings to your other friends. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mrs Waite during the Roses Congress in London. Though I have not had the privilege [page 3, image 75] of having [“Bahai” scribbled out] correspondence with her, yet I have often heard of her Bahai activities & services to the cause through Miss Rosenberg & Mrs Stannard.
