Decree for heirs of Mirza Ahmad Khan Lashkar Nivis, 1910
The document reads in part: “In the name of his excellency, Sultan Ahmad Shah, after the death of Mirza Ahmad Lashkar Nivis (of the royal artillery), the comfort of those surviving him is the shah’s will; hence, under this command, half of the deceased’s stipend, which is 180 tumans, will be allocated as follows: the state stipend of the late Mirza Ahmad Lashkar Nivis was 360 tumans. This amount, minus 180 tumans, is 180 tumans: his heirs will receive 180 tumans. The men, Mirza Zayn al-Abidin Khan, Mirza Muhsin, Mirza Ghaffar known as Aqa Buzurg), Mirza Baqir, and Mirza Javad, shall receive 122 tumans in total, 22 tumans and 500 dinars for each of them. The women, his daughters and wives (Zubaydah Khanum, Safiyah Khanum, Hajar Khanum, Khanum Agha, Imanah Khanum, and his wife Rubab Khanum), shall receive 67 tumans. From this year (1910) for the next 15 years (ending in 1924), his heirs will receive their shares of the stipend, after which, this stipend will belong to the court and the scriber should record its command.
