Executing Muhammad Mu‘in's will and the guardianship of his children

Includes two documents: 1- in the first one, dated October 25, 1874, the inheritance of Muhammad Mu‘in, the son of ‘Abd al-Husayn the merchant from Shiraz, has been divided among his inheritors: his wife [illegible], the daughter of Muhammad Khalil the merchant from Shiraz; his mother, Bibi Khanum Mah, the daughter of Muhammad Hasan the merchant from Shiraz; and his three underage children, Mirza Nasir, Badr Haya’ Khanum, and Bibi Khadijah Sultan Khanum. Mirza Abu al-Qasim, the son of Muhammad Khalil, and ‘Ali Akbar, the son of Muhammad Hasan the merchant, have been designated as the guardians of the underage children and Mirza Muhsin, the brother of Muhammad Mu‘in, and Bibi Khanum Mah, the mother of Muhammad Mu‘in, as the supervisors of the administration of the will; 2- in the second document, dated 1877, Mirza Muhsin, the supervisor of the administration of the will, writes that Mirza Abu al-Qasim, the guardian of Muhammad Mu‘in’s children, has gone away and that ‘Ali Akbar, the other guardian, has taken some money from the house while the writer’s brother, Muhammad Mu‘in, was dying. He requests that, with the approval of the children’s mother, another guardian be appointed and ‘Ali Akbar be banned from meddling in their affairs.
