‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)’s love letter to Surur al-Saltanah, telling her how he has kissed the flowers touched and sent by Surur. He explains why he could not write last night because of some guests that had to stay overnight due to the rain. He talks about his meeting with Nayyir Qudsiyah and their discussion about the date [probably wedding date] and that they have about eight days left from today, the eighteenth, to the the settled date which is the twenty sixth. He expresses happiness that their separation will come to an end and that Surur will belong to Mu‘azzaz. He then talks about what he meant by Surur’s debt, which was the ten-day worth of kisses that she owes him.
