Will of Sayyid Mahmud Musavi

Will of Sayyid Mahmud Musavi, addressed to his son, Sayyid Husayn Musavi, in which he asks him to take care of the following in case something happens to him in Mecca: Aqa Muhammad Sadiq (one of Sayyid Mahmud’s sons) inherits twice as much as his other sons. The all his furniture will belong to Sayyid Mahmud Musavi’s wife. The garden’s house will be Manuchihr’s. They have to spend 1000 tumans for Sayyid Mahmud himself. This will is succeeded by another will, which is different from the first one: in this second will, Sayyid Mahmud writes that his wife will inherit the equivalent of a daughter’s share. All his household goods, including all copper-ware, will be his wife’s and none of the children will inherit any. Sayyid Ziaʼ al-Din will inherit the custodianship of Imam Husayn’s garden and the garden’s house, provided that he takes care of Bibi Ruqiyah Musavi because they owe her a lot. This second will is dated May 8, 1960. Sayyid Mahmud emphasizes that nobody has the right to question his handwriting.
