Ibrahim to Nasir al-Mulk

Ibrahim to Nasir al-Mulk

Letter from Ibrahim to Nasir al-Mulk, the governor of Kurdistan, in which he talks about the health of his children, Aqa Muhsin and Khanum Kuchulu, after their erysipelas disease and Aqa Mirza Hasan Hakim Bashi’s mistake in using the right dosage of sodium bromide to treat them. He finds it surprising that Hakim Bashi would have made that mistake, since, even though he did not know French, he had a book containing an inventory of the old and new medicines. Ibrahim also tells Nasir al-Mulk about Haydar Mirza, known as Shahzadah Hakim, and, if he is still living in Kurdistan, that his practice is beyond doubt. The letter is accompanied by an envelope addressed to Nasir al-Mulk and has Ibrahim’s seal on the back.
