Husayn I'tizad Qazvini (I‘tizad al-Hukama’)

d. January or February 1934

Husayn was the son of Muhammad Hasan (son of Mirza Hadi Qazvini). Being the only son of the family, he had lost his mother when he was a child. He finished his education in Persian and Arabic in Qazvin and at the age of twenty left Qazvin to study medicine in Tehran. His father introduced him to Hadi Dawlatabadi (father of Sadiqah Dawlatabadi) and Shaykh Hadi introduced him to Sultan al-Hukamaʼ, Nasir al-Din Shah's special physician. He learned medicine and became very skillful to the extent that he cured one of Nasir al-Din Shah's wives while others considered her as incurable. For that he received recognitions from Shah. He was a charitable person and helped others a lot. He was interested in gardening. Iʻtizad al-Hukamaʼ married the sixteen-year-old Sadiqah Dawlatabadi when he was forty. After their divorce, he married Muhtaram Zamani. In his later years he was a professor of the school of medicine. He died in 1934 and was buried in Imamzadah ʻAbd Allah's shrine.
