Mah Taban Khanum (Qamar al-Saltanah)
Mah Taban Khanum (Qamar al-Saltanah) was the daughter of Nush Afarin Khanum (the daughter of Badr Khan Zand) and the Fath ʻAli Shah Qajar. Her sister was Mah Nush Khanum (Iftikhar al-Saltanah). After the death of her father, Fath ʻAli Shah, she married Mirza Husayn Khan Sipahsalar (the next Mushir al-Dawlah). Mah Taban Khanum was a charitable person and she donated 50,000 tumans annually for the restoration or ornamentation of the shrines of religious figures. She made several endowments. She hosted the first performances of Women's Ta‘ziyah in her house. They were acted by women exclusively for an audience of women.

Her sister was Mah Nush Khanum (Iftikhar al-Saltanah). After the death of her father, Fath ʻAli Shah, she married Mirza Husayn Khan Sipahsalar (the next Mushir al-Dawlah). Mah Taban Khanum spoke Turkish and French fluently. Her husband used to consult with her on important issues. Mah Taban Khanum was a charitable person and she donated 50,000 tumans annually for the restoration or ornamentation of the shrines of religious figures. She made several endowments. She hosted the first performances of Women's Ta‘ziyah in her house. They were acted by women exclusively for an audience of women. Her taʻziyahs and ceremonies were well-known. After the death of her husband, Nasir al-Din Shah sent Mirza ʻAli Naqi Khan Hakim al-Mamalik to her house in order to collect part of the inheritance. After the death of Mah Taban Khanum, Nasir al-Din Shah gave her residential house (which was the building of Majlis-i Shawra-yi Milli) to ʻAziz al-Sultan.
