Maryam Khanum was the daughter of Mirza Abu al-Qasim Qaʼim Maqam, the premier of Muhammad Shah Qajar. Her mother was the daughter of Mirza Hasan Mustawfi al-Mamalik. According to Iʻtimad al-Saltanah, when the Qaʼim Maqams were out of Muhammad Shah's favor, Maryam Khanum wrote a long poem and sent it to Shah and this caused Shah to forgive them. Close
