Ruqiyah Kundushlu was the sister of Sakinah Kundushlu (the second wife of Shaykh Hadi Najmabadi). She married Shaykh Mahdi Najmabadi (she was his second wife) and they had four children: Nur al-Huda (Nuri Khanum), ‘Ayn al-Huda (‘Ayni Khanum), Rubabah (Rubab Khanum), and Sadiqah.
