He had three wives. The first was Baygum Khanum, daughter of Mirza Mahmud Vazir (Mustawfi). They had six children: Abu al-Qasim, Ibrahim Ulfat, ʻIzzat Mulk, Mahdi, Gawhar Mulk, and Fakhr al-Zaman. We do not know the name of his second wife, but they had a child, named Badr al-Zaman. Sayyid Mir Ahmad married his third wife at an old age. She was fifty at the time and they had no children.
