Settlements related to Zahra Khanum, 1927 and 1928

Settlement, dated July 23, 1927, between Ustad Husayn‘ali the mason and Zahra Khanum, the daughter of Aqa Mirza ‘Abd Allah, in which he transfers to her the mahr of fifty-five tumans. Another settlement, dated December 28, 1928, lists Zahra Khanum’s property after her death, including: fifty-five tumans, which she had loaned to her father, Aqa Mirza ‘Abd Allah, in exchange for renting from him one-sixth of a house. Aqa Mirza ‘Abd Allah owed her six tumans of the rent, as well as her dowry of twenty seven tumans. After determining Aqa Mirza ‘Abd Allah’s share (one-sixth) and the share of Zahra Khanum’s husband (one-fourth), the remaining fifty tumans is the share of Zahra Khanum’s two underaged children, Mahdi and Mahmud. It was agreed that the children’s share would remain with Aqa Mirza ‘Abd Allah, their grandfather.
