Settlement between Zubaydah Khanum and her daughter Rubabah Khanum, 1917
Twelve sha‘irs [measure of land] of the Bayg Balaghi farm in Armaghan Khvanah village was part of Zubaydah Khanum’s mahr from her second husband, the late Sulayman Khan, and nine sha‘irs of Kaljin village was part of her daughter Rubabah Khanum’s mahr from Aman Allah Khan. In order to resolve some disputes they settled as follows: Zubaydah Khanum transfers six sha‘irs of the Bayg Balaghi farm to her daughter in exchange for six sha‘irs of Kaljin village and six sha‘irs of Tazah Kand; Aman Allah Khan has signed the settlement as well. In addition, half of the old house belonging to the late Sulayman Khan and Aman Allah Khan was part of Zubaydah Khanum’s mahr and the other half was part of Rubabah Khanum’s mahr. Rubabah Khanum now transfers her share to Zubaydah Khanum in exchange for half of the new house as well as a quarter of a sha‘ir from the Armaghan Khvanah village, which was the paternal inheritance of Sulayman Khan and Aman Allah Khan and part of Zubaydah Khanum’s mahr. The entire old house is thus the property of Ghulamhusayn Khan’s mother; Ghulamhusayn Khan and Riza Khan have signed the settlement.
