Marriage agreement of Rubabah Aqayi and Husayn Qasri, 1941
Marriage agreement of Rubabah Aqayi, daughter of ʻAbd al-Karim son of Muhammad Hashim from Khuzan, and Husayn Qasri, son of the late Mustafa from Khuzan. The mahr includes twenty-six tumans and two-and-a-half riyals, a share of a house in the Shamsabad neighborhood of Khuzan, one hundred tumans to buy land for the bride, and twenty tumans to buy gold and earrings. The groom’s maternal grandmother, Hajiyah Fatimah, will transfer the ownership of one-sixth of the house mentioned in order for the groom to make a share of it part of the mahr. Additionally, fifteen tumans will be paid for [wedding] expenses, rugs, and two sets of proper women’s clothes.
