My dear spiritual Sister Mrs. A.C. Platt.

It is with a heart full of sorrows and aches that I take up my pen to write to you that our spiritual beloved mother Dr. Moody passed away from this unworthy world full of woes and sorrows to the paradise of Abha and has stationed herself near the throne of Bahaullah on 23rd October 1934.

Up to the time she was able to think, her thoughts drifted towards service to this Holy Cause and the Tarbiat Schools. She was taken ill only few days before her ascension and though we did everything possible for her but she had responded to the divine call and let her earthly body to go to a better world. It is really very hard on me and my family to lose such a beloved spiritual mother with whom we were in constant contact for so many years.

I am enclosing some of the pictures I have taken. Her burial was majestic because hundreds of Bahais men and women and Tarbiat Girl’s school students thronged with flowers in hand and she lies near Dr. Clock and Miss Lilian Kappes, because it was her wish to be buried near them. Really my dear spiritual sister I am so struck with sorrow that I cannot write any more and will have to close this letter for a near future date. Some of the newspapers have also eulogised her beautiful work in Persia. Clippings I am sending you. I hope you will continue your beautiful correspondence with me. Please accept sincreset regards.
