I Have recently had a letter from Mrs. Kuebere. It was really a budget of news, with enclosures, and made up for her long silence, although you write of her work for the Assembly Library etc, she gave more detail. I am delighted about Long Beach and send love & congratulations to Mrs. Lewis and yourself. It is great to be able to serve like that.

Miss Sharp is a wonder also. She has had only six days rest since [page 2, left side of image 132] school closed and is again back to oversee repairs etc in school building.

You wrote that you were awaiting news of school conditions before forwarding your draft, well, my dear, they were too upsetting to try to tell about them. I think she is a marvel to be able to work under some of the confusing conditions, mostly arising from ignorant management by underpaid teachers who of course lacked the inspiration to do [page 3, right side of image 132] their best and two of them went to teach in other cities and four got married so Adelaide is training upper class students to take charge of classes.

I write you of the idea of putting in a rug weaving dept. and Adelaide is very eager to open a kindergarten class but lacks funds for the material and rent of a place near the school. A very efficient teacher will have charge of k-q. dept. If you ask Mme. Nabil Ed Dowleh about Eshraghieh Zabie [“Eshraghieh Zabie” underlined], I am sure you will be glad that we can have her for that position. She was in Hamdan for several years in girl’s school.

I hope you are now [page 4, left side of image 131] in Geyserville at the summer school. I think of it often.

I have paid two hundred tomans on the school property debt and the Committee pay thirty-five every month. As there is another two hundred debt on it, we feel sure it will soon be cancelled & free.
