Zinat al-Saltanah's wage, 1925
Note from the financial office of Astan-i Quds, office of records: “As ordered by Mr. Zahir al-Islam, the office of finance has set 15 tumans and three kharvars [one kharvar is 100 mans, roughly 300 kilograms] of wheat from the stipend of the deceased ʻAzud al-Tawliyah to be given to Zinat al-Saltanah for her domestic service during the first watch.”
