Correspondence regarding the murder of Hakim Haq Nazar, 1899

Including 1- a petition by Rahil to Mushir al-Dawlah, regarding the murder of her husband, Haq Nazar, a Jewish doctor in Kurdistan. She claims the murderers were hired by Ishaq, another Jewish doctor; 2- a telegraph from Muhammad Yusuf from Kurdistan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran, regarding the murder of Haq Nazar by Fattah, son of ‘Abd al-Rahman, Ma‘ruf, and another person – all Ottoman nationals. The murderers are in jail but ‘Abd al-Rahman is conducting a sit-in at Hajar Khatun Imamzadah and the house of Shaykh Shukr Allah. The writer requests accountability from the Ottoman Embassy and punishment or expulsion of the murderers and ‘Abd al-Rahman, threatening that otherwise their safety cannot be guaranteed; 3- Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ request to the Iranian Embassy in Istanbul regarding the actions of Baha’ Bayg in Sanandaj in support of the murderers; 4- a petition by Ishaq, the Jewish doctor, mentioning testimony about his innocence and harassment by Haq Nazar’s inheritors despite the identification of actual murderers.
