Will of Hajiyah Aqa, 1868

Hajiyah Aqa, daughter of Asad Allah Khan Shirazi, transfers all her properties to Khadijah Sultan Khanum, daughter of Haji Mirza Muhibb ʻAli Shirazi, provided that Khadijah Sultan Khanum sacrifice a sheep every year on ʻId-i Qurban. The second part is her will, in which she talks about the details of her funeral.

    According to Hajiyah Aqa’s will, if she were to die in Shiraz or on her trip, she was to be buried at Karbalaʼ. She asks that the expenses of her funeral be paid by selling her gold bracelet. She also requested that two people read the Qurʼan for 40 days after her death. The author mentioned that the money from selling her house in Najaf should be spent on her endowed house in Karbalaʼ.
