Heripsima made this album and gave it to her first child, Vachik, on his 20th birthday. Most of the photos show Vachik. The letter accompanying it reads as follows: “These memories I have written are of things that happened to you in your childhood and the photos are of you up to the age of 20. It is a memorable thing that is valuable for anyone. I think you should know its value and save it as a precious gift. Dear Vachik, your childhood age of having no sadness is over and you are a young man now. My dear son, don’t forget your mother’s worries and efforts to raise you to this age. Wherever you go, take the gaze in my eyes with you, and whatever you want to do, be like you were as a six-month-old baby boy. When you closed your eyes, you would open them when I gazed at you. And if I gazed at you, you stopped doing what you were doing. Always be like that and whenever you make a mistake remember my gaze. Don’t forget your family, even if you reach the highest positions. Work hard and be strong when facing life difficulties. Never speak ill of others and avoid mischief. Follow the path of goodness. Love your friends. Know who your friends are and avoid bad company. My dear Vachik, read my letter several times throughout the year, especially on your birthday. Your mother, 18 April 1936.
