Created by Afsar al-Muluk Shaykh al-Islami, daughter of Nimtaj (Taj al-Sadat) Shaykh al-Islami and Mirza Mufid Shaykh al-Islam (Dibaj), and wife of Sayyid ʻAli Shaykh al-Islami. According to Bahram Sheikholeslami, Sayyid Abu al-Qasim Shaykh al-Islami was the first chair of Otolaryngology at Tehran University and died young during an epidemic in Iran.
